Why does IU need a new building?

Over time, Wrubel Computing Center became insufficient to protect IU's substantial IT investment. Together with the IU Data Center and the IU Innovation Center, the CIB joins a growing technology park at 10th Street and Indiana State Road 45/46 Bypass.

Technology can be a driving force in more ways than one.

Working toward Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification, the CIB creates a new energy-efficient, sustainable building model for the university. It’s now the greenest building on campus, and one of the greenest buildings in the state.

The CIB is not just for IU – it’s also for you.

The CIB will help education, business, and everyday people. The interactive work environment brings together over 600 previously dispersed IU staff. That means more time focused on widespread issues where IT@IU can make a significant difference.
